Joe Newhoff once owned and operated a mobile car wash & detailing business named Blue Lake Auto Detail. After 8 months of mobile detailing, Joe moved his operation to the Portman Hotel in downtown San Francisco, which is currently the JW Marriot. Joe’s automobile detail service targeted the frequent and, at times, prominent guests. Word spread, and Joe augmented his business to include door to door service. Joe would receive phone calls from the Concierges asking for his services. His reputation led him to the best hotels including: the St. Francis, Four Seasons Clift Hotel, and the Ritz Carlton Hotels. Relationships grew with many Concierges as they often requested Joe’s auto pick up service where he would perform impeccable auto detail and return the vehicle to the originating hotel in a timely manner. Because of this niche, many Concierges exposed Joe to countless celebrities and dignitaries.
